Function Library Group

Insert Functions 

With the help of this option, we can edit the function (formula) of the current cell and insert the new function in the new cell. Apart from this, you can take offline help    related to the function.

            Auto Sum

With the help of this option, you can automatically add a range in the sheet in which the number data is written.

            Recently Used 

        In this option, functions are found which have been used recently.

            Financial 

        Financial options are available in this option. Like - PMT, PV, FV etc.

            Logical 

        Logical functions are available in this option. Like - AND, OR, NOT, if etc.

            Text

        In this option, functions related to text are found. Like - Lower, Upper, Proper, Len     etc.

            Date & Time 

In this option, functions related to date and time are available. Like - Date, Datevalue, Days360 , Today, now etc.

            Lookup & Reference 

With the help of this option, we can use the function in sheet related to lookup and reference. Such as hlookup, vlookup etc.

            Math & Trig 

In this option, formulas related to Math and Trigonometry are available. Ex- Round, Fact, Sqrt, GCD, LCM etc.

            More Functions 

In this option, functions related to static, engineering, cube and information are available. Like- Average, Count, Max, Min etc.


            Defined Name Group 

            Define Name 

After selecting which range this option is used to give a name to it, after which that    range can be used in the formula only with that name. Eg - A1:B20 to "salary"

            Use in Formula 

    This option is used to use the defined range name as a formula.

            Name Manager 

    With the help of this option, you can edit or delete the defined name.

            Formula Auditing Group 

            Trace Precedents 

Before using this option, we select a cell which has a formula in it and also has a reference to other cells. After this click on this option, arrows are shown on the select cell, which tells that the cell is related to which cells.

            Trace Dependents 

Before using this option, select a cell in which any data is written. Then clicking on this option, arrows are shown if the reference to that cell is done in which other cell.

            Remove Arrows 

        With this option, the arrow is removed from the sheet.

            Show Formulas  

        By activating this option, all the formulas applied in the sheet can be shown.

            Error Checking  

        With the help of this option, mistakes in the sheet can be detected.

  1. ###### Error

  2. Name Error ( #NAME? )

  3. Value Error ( #VALUE! )

  4. Division Error ( #DIV )

  5. Null Error ( #NULL! )

  6. Reference Error ( #REF! )

            Evaluate Formula 

With the help of this option, they see about any formula, from which logic the formula is calculating or in which steps the results are generated.

            Watch Window 

With the help of this option, we link a range or cell to this option and with the help of this option, we can directly access this range or cell.

            Calculation Group 

            Calculation Options 

        With the help of this option, we can keep the calculation automatic or manual.

            Calculate Now 

When the calculation is manual, the calculation is updated only after clicking this option.

            Calculate Sheet

With the help of this option the calculations of complete sheet can be updated simultaneously.

Home Tab in MS Excel 2007

The main options are kept in the Home Tab of MS Excel 2007 which are more needed. Clipboard Group Cut (Ctrl+X) This option is used to cut selected content and save it in the clipboard. Copy (Copy+C) This option is used to copy selected content and save it to the clipboard.
